Terms of Service
The agreement between you and us when you book a repair.
Effective August 5, 2026. We version this document and keep prior versions available on request.
Services
We provide diagnosis, repair, installation, and maintenance of household appliances within our published service areas. Booking an appointment does not create a binding contract for repair work until you approve a written estimate.
Diagnostic fee
A diagnostic fee applies to each visit and covers travel and diagnosis. The fee is waived in full where you approve and we complete the repair. The fee remains payable if you decline the repair, and the amount is confirmed before you book.
Estimates and authorisation
No repair work begins until you approve a written estimate. Where additional faults are discovered during a repair, we stop and issue a revised estimate rather than proceeding and billing you afterwards.
Cancellation, rescheduling and no-shows
You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to two hours before the start of your arrival window. Where a technician has already been dispatched, or nobody is present at the property during the agreed window, a trip fee equal to the diagnostic fee may apply.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless you hold an approved account with net terms. We accept card (via card machine — Visa, Mastercard, and other major credit cards), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Zelle. Overdue balances may accrue interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum permitted by law.
Warranty
Repairs carry a 12-month parts-and-labour warranty as set out on our warranty page, which forms part of these terms. The warranty covers recurrence of the specific fault repaired and excludes new or unrelated faults, misuse, and customer-supplied parts.
Access and property
You are responsible for providing safe access to the appliance, including clearing obstructions and disclosing hazards. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, for damage arising from moving appliances in confined installations where you have asked us to proceed, or for consequential loss such as spoiled food.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. We will attempt to resolve any dispute informally first; please contact us before commencing proceedings. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking relief in small claims court.
