LG Repair Across North Jersey, Rockland, Westchester & Fairfield
LG's U.S. headquarters is in Englewood Cliffs, a few minutes from our base in Leonia, and LG refrigerators and laundry are common across the area. LG appliances report many faults with a code, which speeds up diagnosis.

Common LG problems we fix
What usually goes wrong, what causes it, and what it means for you. A starting point, not a diagnosis.
Refrigerator not cooling well
We rule out the simple causes first: blocked vents, a dusty condenser, a failed fan or a defrost problem. Many LG refrigerators use a linear (inverter) compressor. If the diagnosis points to the compressor, check your warranty before paying, because LG often covers the compressor part for longer than the rest of the refrigerator.
Ice maker slow or not making ice
Low water pressure, an overdue filter, a failed fill valve or a frozen fill tube, checked in that order before the ice maker assembly.
OE: washer won't drain
Usually the drain pump filter at the bottom front, a kinked drain hose or a failed drain pump.
UE or LE: washer unbalanced or motor error
UE is an unbalanced load, so redistribute it first; if it persists, the suspension may be worn. LE means the motor is not turning as expected, from an overloaded drum to a motor sensor or stator fault.
d80, d90 or d95 on the dryer
LG's Flow Sense warning that the exhaust vent is restricted by roughly 80, 90 or 95 percent. Cleaning or shortening the vent run fixes it, and matters: a blocked vent is why clothes take two cycles, and it is a fire risk.
Repair or replace
Is it worth repairing?
Most LG faults are individual parts: fans, defrost components, fill valves, drain pumps and sensors. Repair is usually the better value, and compressor repairs may be partly covered by LG's own warranty. We check that with you before quoting.
Still under LG's warranty? Call LG first: warranty repairs go through the manufacturer's own service network. We're an independent repair company and fix LG appliances once the warranty has ended.
Questions
LG repair FAQ
What does OE mean on an LG washer?
OE is a drain error: the washer cannot pump water out in time. Clean the drain pump filter at the bottom front and check the drain hose for kinks or blockages. If OE returns, SOS Appliance Repair can test and replace the drain pump.
What does d80 mean on an LG dryer?
d80, d90 and d95 are LG Flow Sense warnings that the dryer's exhaust vent is about 80, 90 or 95 percent blocked. The dryer still runs, but slowly and hotter than it should. Clean or shorten the vent; SOS Appliance Repair can check the vent run on a visit.
Do you repair LG appliances under warranty?
No. While a LG appliance is under the manufacturer's warranty, LG arranges repairs through its own authorized service network, so call them first. SOS Appliance Repair is independent and repairs LG appliances once the warranty has ended, with its own 12-month parts-and-labor warranty on the work.
