Appliance Repair in Wayne, NJ

Wayne is one of the largest towns in Passaic County, with about 55,000 residents, roughly 20 miles west of our base in Leonia where Route 23, Route 46, Route 202 and Interstate 80 meet. Most of its housing is single-family homes built after the Second World War, ranches, split-levels and colonials, along with the lake communities around Packanack Lake and Pines Lake, and many of those homes keep the laundry in the basement. That matters more here than in most towns. Mountain View and other low-lying parts of Wayne along the Pompton and Passaic rivers have flooded repeatedly, most notably after Hurricane Irene in 2011. An appliance that has stood in floodwater should not be switched back on until it has been checked: water in a control board, motor or wiring can cause a short, and a gas valve or control that was under water has to be replaced, not dried out. We tell you plainly whether a flooded washer, dryer or range is worth repairing. Elsewhere in town the calls are the usual mix of refrigerators, washers, dryers and ovens, and split-levels often hide long dryer vent runs that are worth checking before the dryer gets blamed. Every repair starts with a written estimate and carries a 12-month parts-and-labor warranty.
